Axel Merckx Hayman Classic Junior Races and Camp with Cycling BC
Friday August 31st saw the start of something spectacular, with over 85 riders participating in a learn-to-time-trial clinic out at Fish Lake Road, Penticton.
During the clinic, the riders were put through their paces, and were taught the basics of time trialling.
After a debrief on the skills that they learned, each rider was given the opportunity to test their new knowledge over a short time trial course.
At a ceremony after the final time trial, a special thanks was made to everyone who made the clinic possible.
Later on in the evening, all of the riders gathered at a big team meal, with over 100 people present. On hand were Axel Merckx and Richard Wooles to give short talks and to explain the criterium day coming up tomorrow.
