Hello from sunny Agoura Hills, CA! Our week long camp is sadly coming to a close, but we have put in some A+ work while here. Yesterday we got in a couple 5-10 min efforts up one of my favorite climbs: the Rockstore. Our second to last day saw half the group heading out for a sweet 5 hour adventure while the rest of the crew got in a 2 hour tranquilo ride. Last of all a huge thanks to all the Cycling BC sponsors and supporter for making our training camp happen, without you guys we wouldn’t get to work our butts off in this beautiful sunshine!

After two months of training in the Santa Cruz, California I was happy to meet up with friendly faces. Throughout the weeks training we have done a complete mix of training and testing. My highlight of the camp included our pace line training on the Pacific Coast Highway. This included riding with my fellow Silber Pro Cycling teammates Alex Cataford and Ben Perry. During our efforts we averaged nearly 50 km/hr! Many thanks to the Cycling BC sponsors and coaches that make this camp possible.

Coming into this camp I did not know what to expect, as I only have a small amount of road riding experience as I my background is more XC Mountain Biking. I had a tough start to the camp after I caught a cold in the second day of camp and had to take a day off to reset my body. Once I got out there I was super stoked and was able to get take away a ton of new riding experiences and skills. I was able to ride quite a few of the best climbs in the Santa Monica Mountains and hang out with some new people who are as passionate about cycling as I am. I was also able to get a couple of longer rides in with my longest coming today at just under four and a half hours. Thanks to all the Cycling BC supporters and sponsors for helping make these experiences possible.
