TaG Cycling Race Team set the bar high for the BC Road and TT Championships and came away with 4 Provincial Championships.
Maggie Coles-Lyster continued her strong early season racing by winning the Elite Women’s Road Championship. The 18-year old Junior, who up-graded for the race, timed her finish to perfection and took the victory in a two-up sprint. Maggie’s showing great form heading into the Canadian National Championships in Ottawa followed by BC Superweek in July.
TaG Cycling Race Team’s master riders came up big in their championship races. Esta Bovill, a relatively new comer to the sport, convincingly won both the Time Trial and Road Race in the Women’s Master B category.
Chris Worsfold, with strong support from his brother Maurice, won the highly competitive Men’s Master B category competing against some strong master teams.
TaG Cycling Race Team will be sending a team of 9 riders to the 2017 Global Relay Road Championships. The team has been working very hard in preparations for this event with our Junior riders targeting Gold in all races.
