The BC Youth Criterium Championships will be help at Mission Raceway on July 7, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm. The championship races will be for U13, U 15, U 17 boys and girls. Championship jerseys will be presented to the winners. There will be no U19 Criterium Championship at this time as most of our U19 racers will be attending National Road and TT Championships in Quebec.

Schedule of Races:
4:00 pm – Track open for all riders
5:00 pm – U13 Boys 20 minutes + 3 laps
5:01 pm – U13 Girls 20 minutes + 3 laps
5:45 pm – U 15 Boys 30 Minutes + 3 laps
5:46 pm – U15 Girls 30 Minutes + 3 laps
6:30 pm – U17 Boys 30 Minutes + 3 laps*
6:31 pm – U17 Girls 30 Minutes + 3 laps*
7:15 Podiums
*U19 may ride with the U17 as a non-championship race.
Registration Details: Registration will open from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Mission Speedway. Cost will be $20 cash only.
JR Gearing: Jr. Gearing is required for all racers. This means that rider’s must comply with the 7.93 metre roll-out distance. This will usually require a 52 tooth front chain ring and a 14 tooth rear cog. If riders do not have this gearing, they will need to block out gears. Riders will need to have their bikes checked from 4 pm to 4:30 pm. Top 3 riders in all categories will need to have their bikes checked following their races.
Podium Etiquette: All racers who are top 3 in each category will be required to attend the awards presentation. All riders will be required to wear appropriate podium clothing which is a team jersey, team short and race shoes.
This is important to provide the organizer with top quality media material, as well as providing team sponsors maximum exposure opportunities for their product or service.
