To help outfit the next generation of cyclists, Uno Imports and Giordana have generously donated remaining Team H&R Block cycling clothing from the amateur program. Mark Ernsting, Principal of M1 Sports Management that oversees the new M1 Pro Cycling project is happy to see the clothing being used for a great cause. “As we transition the team from an amateur to professional team, we are taking the opportunity to inspire the next generation of riders so that they can look and feel like a pro when they ride”, says Mark Ernsting.
The race-ready clothing will be given to youth across BC. The M1 Project wants to not only inspire current Canadian cyclists but also the youth that will one day “Join the Team” as a professional rider. Through the generous donation of high quality clothing, this is a great step to starting the process of having youth benefit from Giordana’s support toward Canadian cycling.
This donation is a great resource for Cycling BC as we encourage more youth to take up cycling and help them to pursue their future in the sport. “This clothing will be put to good use by kids at all levels, from the iRide Schools Program, through to the development and high performance teams”, says Richard Wooles, Executive Director, Cycling BC.
