Cycling BC Introduces New Provincial Championship Jersey for 2018

It is with great pride and excitement that Cycling BC is introducing a new Provincial Championship jersey for 2018. The previous year’s Provincial Championship jersey was in use for the past two years and the organization felt it was time for a refresh.

The new design stays true to British Columbia’s provincial flag colours of red, blue, and yellow and the new look is sure to be noticed on the racecourse and podium. While the colour mix remains the same, the new design replaces the top to bottom flag look of the old jersey using solid colours and a subtle outline of the iconic BC coastline representing BC’s position as the westernmost province of Canada.

An independent graphic designer, Solveig Stoebe, of Solely Design in Vancouver, BC, created the new design. Solveig is a competitive cyclist and creative virtuoso who loves combining her passion with her profession.

The provincial championship jersey will be produced by Jakroo Custom Apparel, Cycling BC’s community partner and official supplier. Jakroo provides cyclists and athletes with high quality custom apparel using the finest textiles and fabrics.

“We are very happy with the design and can’t wait to see it on our provincial champions this year,” says Erin Waugh, Executive Director of Cycling BC who spearheaded the project of redesigning the jersey.

Cycling BC awards Provincial Championships for races across all cycling disciplines in various categories.
