The second race in the 2017 XC BC Cup series takes place Sunday, April 2nd. Organized by Pro City Racing, the race will take place on the Mount Work Hartland Trail Network (aka “The Dump”) in Victoria, and offers sweet single track, good times with great people and an après race BBQ with free burger included in registration! If you haven’t registered yet, there will still be day-of registration, but be sure to arrive early if you need to register on race day!
The 4.5 KM course is designed with classic cross country style trails emphasizing technical single track and shorter laps for better spectating. The trails are filled with rocks, and roots, expect early wet spring conditions. The course has a mix of single track and fire road to give as much passing opportunity as possible while keeping it fun. Course will be well marked with directional arrows and flagging tape. Preliminary course marking will happen the day before the race.
The XC BC Cup this year consists of six races featuring some of BC’s top cross-country mountain bike events. Points are calculated from the results of each race and then riders are ranked in the series standings. Series points will be accumulative for all races, with all available points contributing to the series standings.
