Record iRide Enrolment Following Global TV Interview

Following a recent morning feature on Global TV with sports host Jay Janower, Cycling BC’s iRide Schools and Community Program is rapidly closing in on its 10,000 student enrollment goal. Amidst the beautiful weather this February, indoor programs have continued to grow and requests are now coming in for next winter.

Grade 8-10 students of St. Alcuin visited TaG Cycling last week and the final class of grade 7s from HillCrest Middle school visited Catalyst Kinetics.

The top riders from TaG last week took home a pair of BC Bike Race jerseys while a raffle between the four strongest Catalyst Kinetics racers decided who won a full 2014 H&R Block team kit.

Trips continued this week with Abbotsford students hitting the Abbotsford Indoor BMX track with provincial team coach Adam Muys. Stay tuned for photos!

This program is part of iRide’s diverse set of 2015 initiatives, which include FREE outdoor programming throughout the province in a 4 session format, as well as 4 different indoor facility field trips offered once per class for limited time during the winter months. Our 2015 field trips include TaG Cycling (North Vancouver), Catalyst Kinetics (Burnaby / New Westminster), Burnaby Velodrome (Burnaby / Vancouver) and Abbotsford BMX (Abbotsford)
