Bikes For Kids In Need

At this time of year, Obsession Bikes donates time to rebuild kids bikes for less fortunate kids on the North shore. Many families who can not afford to get their kids bicycles, and their aim is to provide 250 bikes to the community in time for Christmas, through their Bikes For Tykes program.

James Wilson, owner of Obsession Bikes, has a simple request: if you have any kids bikes that are no longer being used, and are willing to give them up, Obsession will gladly accept them, rebuild them, and donate them to social agencies like North Shore Family Services and Hollyburn Family Services.

In order to be ready for Christmas, donor bikes are needed now. They can be dropped off at the store  any day between 10-6. Please share this initiative with others, as it takes about 450 donor bikes to make 250!

The store will also accept tax deductible donations for helmets, and has reduced the cost down to $25 each for a $50 helmet.
