Experience Vancouver’s inaugural signature community bike ride and festival August 19th at David Lam Park, Yaletown.
Our Cityride is a non-competitive 17 km bike ride for cyclist of all ages and abilities. Beginning at 5 pm on August 19th, we’ll ride through some of Vancouver’s most iconic urban sites, including China Town, Gastown, Cole Harbour and Stanley Park.
Along with the ride will be a family friendly festival, complete with music, a kids zone, food trucks, expo, beer garden, and free bike valet, all open to the public from 3 – 9 pm.
Cycling BC’s iRide program will be joining Our Cityride to offer free activities for kids from 3 pm to 7 pm, in the Norco/CJAD Kid Zone. Bikes will be provided for kids ages 6 through 13 to practice their riding and learn new skills with our experienced iRide coaches. Sessions are free, and parents can sign their children up for iRide activities on site. Our iRide coaches are trained through the Nationally Certified Coaching Program, and travel to schools around the province throughout the year, teaching kids new cycling skills and sharing their love of cycling. We’re excited to be partnering with Our Cityride, to bring this experience to even more kids in the Lower Mainland!
