Ride the 2nd annual Kris Yip Memorial Fondo celebrating Kris’s legacy of kindness, sportsmanship, and inclusivity. This ride welcomes all, irrespective of their skill level. Participants will trace this true champion’s cherished route to Eaglet Lake, starting and concluding downtown on Canada Games Way. Enriched with support riders, course marshals, and aid stations to ensure a fun and safe ride concluding with an after-party at Canada Games Plaza so you can unwind, refuel, and share stories. Expect food trucks, music, vendors, and good vibes!

About Kris

Born and raised in Prince George, Kris was deeply embedded in our community, both through his passion for cycling and his financial management business. Tragically, Kris’s untimely passing on January 18, 2023, was sudden and unexpected, a result of advanced coronary artery disease. Despite being an elite athlete, he faced an invisible enemy with no warning signs. The mission is to ensure that Kris’s legacy shines on, raising awareness about heart disease and reminding everyone that it can affect anyone, regardless of their fitness level.

This event has a dual purpose: fostering community ties via cycling and amplifying the significance of heart health care in Northern BC.
