Mountain Bike Skills

This in-person, outdoor workshop is designed to help you practice teaching intermediate mountain bike skills and tactics in a safe and friendly environment. The session builds upon topics discussed in the pre-requisite modules, including skill analysis, observations, and corrective feedback, and is designed for coaches working with youth or adults at the club level.

After completing this course, you will have met Cycling BC’s expectations for assistant club coaches. To fulfill a club head coach position, you can complete 1 more theory module and submit your portfolio for evaluation.

The module is facilitated outdoors and no Powerpoint presentation is included. Participants are expected to arrive at the session having prepared a lesson plan for a mountain bike skill AND a mountain bike tactic in their portfolio and be ready to teach both lessons.
