NCCP: Community Initiation (Online)

Community Initiation

This 5-hour module is facilitated online and split over two evening web calls.  This module of part of the Community coach pathway and is ideal for parents, volunteers, teachers, and instructors who work with bike riders under the age of 11.

Topics include:

• Planning and organizing a practice
• Working with athletes with a disability
• Ethical decision making
• Cycling safety and risk management

This course is part of the Community coach pathway, the required minimum for insurance coverage when coaching through Cycling BC.   If you are working with young riders 11 and over, or club participants of any age, please skip this course and instead pursue the Competition-Introduction pathway as the material is more appropriate for your target participants.  Learn more about the NCCP here.  Registration closes 72 hours before the event start.
