On September 12th, 2015 Cycling BC’s iRide program is teaming up with the RBC Whistler GranFondo to provide a FREE community program for the Whistler corridor.
Strider bicycle activities will be available for riders under 6 and more challenging events will be available for bicycle riders over 6. Riders will work with iRide’s NCCP-certified coaches to tackle a diverse collection of skills using their interactive and game-based learning curriculum. All participants will be awarded an iRide t-shirt and a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Gold Medal. iRide’s fleet of bicycles will be on hand for complimentary rental, sized for students aged 8+.
This event is FREE of charge and will be located in and around the RBC Whistler GranFondo finish line in Whistler’s Lot 4 parking lot, making it a great way to engage the whole family in a Sea-to-Sky celebration of cycling. Students will be grouped by age and ability level decided by the coaching staff and rotate between stations featuring the Whistler BMX practice track, the Whistler MTB practice area, nearby Lost Lake trails and of course standard iRide games in Lot 4. For Strider and stabilizer riders, events will stay within the iRide arena in Lot 4 and finish with an obstacle course race.

11:15 am – 1:15 pm: iRide Session: Ages 6-13 (Any style of 2 wheeler) – Parent Attendance Encouraged
