The SORCE Bike Club is PROUD TO HOST the 1st race of the 2018 BC Premier XCO Series season.*
The JunkYard Dog course is more fun and challenging than ever before! All of the more difficult obstacles have an easy go-around for those who don’t feel comfortable, with only a slight time penalty. Extended 1 km start and passing zone per lap.

Date: Sunday, April 22, 2018
Start Time: 2 starts, with staggered starts for categories within each start time, 9:00 A.M. for Junior and Novice classes. 11:30 A.M. start for 19+ to Elite.
Location: South Surrey Bike Park is located at South Surrey Athletic Park, 22nd Avenue and 146th Street. Registration is by the water tower.
There will be feed stations, cash prizes, swag, Red Racer Beer, Fresh Slice Pizza, a race photo for each registrant taken by Scott Robarts Photography, and The Bike Zone bike repair station will be on hand for parts and service.

0730-0830: Registration open for 0900 start
0730-0845: Course open for practice
0830: Registration closed for 0900 start
0850: Form up at start
0900-1030: 1st race start, all categories 3 laps
0915-1100: Registration open for 11:30 start
1030: 1st race ends, course cleared
1030-1115: Course open for practice
1100: Beer Garden open – Central City Brewery
1120: Form up at start
1130-1330: 2nd race start
1200: Podium for 0900 race
1330: Podium for 1130 race
1430: Beer Garden closed – awwww!

JunkYard Dog online registration, click REGISTRATION. All entries $55. U13-U17 $40. Closes Friday, April 20, midnight. Day of registration is available, but will cost more, so please register online – gets a little crazy on race day!

Cycling BC Rider License / Insurance
To race in all categories (EXCEPT; Novice, U13 or 19+), you will need a 2018 UCI or Provincial Race License. For Novice, U13 or 19+, you will need a 2018 Provincial Ride License, or you can purchase a single event license for $10, $12 for US residents. U13 for $5.
All riders must present their 2018 license or proof of purchase/email at the event.
• Single event licenses are only valid for Canadian residents covered under a Federal or Provincial Hospital or Medical Plan.
• US Residents must have a 2018 UCI License and sign a declaration that adequate out of country travel insurance has been obtained. If you have a valid USAC UCI Racing License, you do not need to purchase a single event license.
• Day license purchasers under 19 MUST have a parent or guardian sign the Cycling BC release at registration in order to participate.
• ALL participants must sign a SORCE Bike Club waiver. We will email pre-registrants a copy for you to print, fill in, and bring to check-in on race day.

* Update to BC Premier XCO Series Schedule – March 30, 2018: In coordination between the event organizer and Cycling BC, the Bear Mountain Russ Hays Short Track BC Premier Series race on April 1, 2018 has been removed from the BC Premier XCO Series Schedule and will not count towards BC Premier Series points due to low registration numbers in several categories.
