The Tour de Beauce is Canada’s premier UCI-sanctioned men’s stage race being held on June 19-23, 2019 in the Beauce region of Quebec. As the oldest stage-race in North America, dating back to 1986, the Tour de Beauce attracts hundreds of cyclists from all over the world to challenge the 5-day race.
The race format (based on 2018 race info) is as follows:
Stage 1: 177km
Stage 2: 169km
Stage 3A: 20km ITT
Stage 3B: 77km
Stage 4: 70km Crit
Stage 5: 122km Circuit
As part of Cycling BC’s High Performance programming and providing BC athletes with development opportunities and experience, Cycling BC will be selecting and sending a team of U23 athletes to the Tour de Beauce 2019.
Athletes will be selected based on subjective and objective criteria based on points earned in the following races,
1. BC Provincial RR and TT Championships: May 25-26th, 2019, Langley
2. Cascade Classic: May 29th – June 2nd, Oregon
Points will be awarded over the two/three races at these events to rank the riders. For more information on the selection criteria, please read the PDF document linked below.
