*** Members must hold the required credentials to obtain a technical licence. Learn more about the requirements at cyclingbc.net/ssce-policy. Members purchasing a technical licence in addition to a BC Race or UCI Licence will only pay one licence fee, whichever is greater.

Membership Licence Eligibility Requirements:

  • Members must be BC residents and be covered under the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP), or private insurance.
  • A passport-style photo upload is required of members applying for Provincial Race, UCI Race, and UCI Technical Licenses. Licences will not be issued without a suitable photo.
  • Members must sign Cycling BC’s liability waiver and agree to the Code of Conduct.
  • Members under 19 years of age must be registered by a parent/guardian.
  • UCI Race license holders 35+ years old must select either a Master or Elite licence category and race in that category for the year in all UCI events. Cycling BC guidelines allow Master riders to choose between Elite or Master for Cycling BC-sanctioned races that are not UCI, National, or Provincial Championship level.
  • UCI licence race categories are NOT CONFIRMED until the license is ISSUED by Cycling BC staff.
  • Cycling BC membership licences are non-refundable once a licence has been issued. The insurance included with a Cycling BC membership is in effect as soon as the licence is issued and remains valid for the entire calendar year. Cycling BC cannot recover these costs from the insurance provider. Requests for refunds for a membership licence before it is issued can be made in writing to memberships@cyclingbc.net.

About Single Event Licences

Cycling BC offers single-event licences for specific sanctioned events to allow individuals without annual licences the opportunity to participate in organized cycling events. Single-event licences are specific to a particular event and are only valid for that event.
