We regret to announce that the Provincial Youth Criterium Championship race, scheduled for Friday, July 28, has been cancelled. The Provincial Youth Road Race and Time Trial Championships will proceed as scheduled, on July 29 & 30.
This decision was made due to considerations for the safety of the athletes. Organizers felt the course as proposed for the championships would not be up to the expected standard for youth provincials, and efforts to secure a different venue were unsuccessful.
All competitors will receive a $25 refund on their registration, in consideration of the loss of the criterium. This will be refunded at the registration desk at Saturday or Sunday’s races.
We apologize to the athletes and families affected by this decision, and appreciate your patience.
