A day of empowerment through sports in Surrey! This event is coming up fast and furious and we could use your help.
Fast and Female has partnered with Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program to deliver this Fast and Female event for girls ages 9-12 who face financial barriers to sport participation. The idea is to get them totally pumped up, inspired by female athlete role models, and ready to take on the world. Our goal is to reach 200-250 girls at this event.
- EVENT DATE: Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 9:30am-2:30pm
- WHERE: Guildford Park Secondary School, 10707 146 Street Surrey, BC, V3R 1T5
- WHO: Girls ages 9-12 years old (**this is a private event for Jumpstart girls only)

FAST AND FEMALE AMBASSADORS – Olympians, Paralympians, elite athletes, coaches, fitness instructors, sports experts – volunteer your time at a Fast and Female event in your community. Share stories of your athletic journey, lead our MIND, BODY, HEART programs to a small group of 9-12-year-old girls (ratio 1 Ambassador to 8 girls), and above all, have fun with the girls. Your #1 goal is to inspire the next generation of female athletes by sharing your love of sports.
Requirements:
- Attend at least 1 Fast and Female event per year.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must fit one of the following categories: Olympian, Paralympian, Elite Athlete (University/College or Provincial Team), and Sport Expert
- Allow Fast and Female to use your name/image in the event promotion material.
- Help promote Fast and Female events by sharing details via social media and reaching out to your sport network.
- Align with Fast and Female’s values, ethics, mission, and vision.
Time Commitment:
- Event Prep (2-4 hours) – conference call or in-person meeting to review the event logistics including designing your fitness station, learning Fast and Female’s mission/vision/programming, discussing effective icebreaker games for your small group, etc.
- Event Day (6 hours) – on the day of the event (1-hour setup + 4-hour event + 1-hour teardown)
- Post Event – Share your feedback about the event, fill out our Post Event Survey.
