2019 BMX Provincial Championships Returns to Ridge Meadows

The 2019 Cycling BC BMX Provincial Championships will be held at the Ridge Meadows BMX track in Pitt Meadows, BC on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

The BC Provincial Championship is the highest-ranking race in the province and is also recognized by Cycling Canada as one of only two events in 2019 where BC riders can qualify for the 2020 UCI World BMX Championships Challenge Classes that are the being held in Houston, Texas from May 26-31, 2020. The only other race BC riders will have the opportunity to qualify for the Challenge Classes at the 2020 World Championships is the Canadian National BMX Championships in Toronto on July 6, 2019.

“We’re very excited to have the BC Championships back at Ridge Meadows,” said Chris MacMullen of the Ridge Meadows BMX Club. “Our track is looking forward to welcoming some of the province’s best BMX riders to contend for the provincial championship jersey. Ridge Meadows BMX is proud to be contributing to Pitt Meadows’ and Maple Ridge’s reputation as an awesome cycling destination for all cyclists.”

The Provincial Championships is open to all BMX athletes holding a valid Cycling BC Provincial Race Licence or UCI Licence. It is strongly encouraged that riders have their Cycling BC licence in advance of the event.  Licences can be purchased online through CCN.

There will be NO one-day insurance at the event.

Riders planning to participate in the Canadian Championships in Toronto must have a UCI licence. For more information on licensing, please contact Cycling BC member services at membership@cyclingbc.net
