Cycling BC Covid-19 Update, April 28th

In light of Cycling Canada’s most recent update and recommendations on domestic events, Cycling BC is also recommending that events scheduled up to and including July 6, 2020, be postponed or cancelled. Cycling Canada will be making another announcement on May 28th regarding events scheduled beyond this date.

Cycling BC will continue to follow the advice of the BC government health authorities and together with the guidance of Cycling Canada, Sport BC, and viaSport, will develop a plan for a progressive return to our sport as the province gradually loosens restrictions on activities. You can expect updates from Cycling BC as more information becomes available.

We are looking forward to resuming in-person activities when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, please continue to exercise behaviours to help limit the transmission of the virus such as riding indoors at home, or if you choose to ride outside, riding safely alone or only with members of your household.

Cycling BC commends our members and the general cycling sport community for your continued patience, determination, and commitment to sustaining our collective and individual efforts in minimizing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, particularly in BC.

We will continue to monitor the situation in our province and across the country very closely and communicate pertinent information to our community as it becomes available.

Stay safe. We will get through this together.
