Updates to 2021 BC Cup DH & Provincial Championships Schedule

Amidst ongoing developments and uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic, Cycling BC has been working diligently with our event organizers to maintain a viable calendar for the 2021 BC Cup Downhill Series pb Cobotix.

We would like to announce a couple of recent updates that have been made to the calendar including the cancellation of the Whistler BC Cup which was originally scheduled for June 27th, postponed, and is now officially cancelled. The Whistler BC Cup doubled as the 2021 BC Provincial Championships and with its cancellation, the BC Cup at Big White on August 8th will take over as the Provincial Championships race.

The Coast Gravity Park BC Cup event has been looking to move to a date later this season in order to provide the racing community with a more balanced and approachable schedule. The Sunshine Coast venue’s inaugural BC Cup race has been rescheduled for the weekend of September 24-26th and will close out the BC Cup series for 2021, pending any further changes.

The 2021 BC Cup Downhill Series presented by Cobotix is now scheduled as follows,

July 18 – Fernie BC Cup | Canada Cup

July 21 – Panorama BC Cup | Canada Cup

July 25 – Canadian DH MTB Championships at Kicking Horse (no BC Cup points)

August 8 – Big White BC Cup | BC Provincial Championships

August 29 – Steve Smith Memorial DH BC Cup at Mt.Washington

September 12 – Sun Peaks BC Cup

September 26 – Coast Gravity Park BC Cup Final

We want to thank our event organizers, sponsors, and all the riders for their unyielding commitment to ensuring that we have a safe and enjoyable season of downhill racing.
