Cycling BC’s iRide Now Booking Schools for 2018/2019

Cycling BC is happy to announce the opening of iRide’s in-school and field trip bookings for the 2018 / 2019 academic year.

Cycling BC’s iRide is designed to teach basic cycling skills and safety awareness to grades 4 to 6 students at their school or on field trips to a local cycling track or facility. The programs are run by iRide instructors qualified by the National Coaches Certification Program (NCCP) and are heavily subsidized by private donors and grants, with schools covering just 50% of the cost.

Cycling BC’s iRide is returning with full fleets of bikes to Comox, Kelowna, Victoria and the Lower Mainland. Cycling BC is also exploring the possibility of expanding in-school programming and bike fleets in several communities next year including Prince George, Vernon, Castlegar/Rossland, the Fraser Valley, and field trips to the Juan de Fuca Velodrome, Bear Mountain, and the Steve Smith Bike Park on Vancouver Island. To show your interest, please register your school. Visit the links below for more information.

Cycling BC’s iRide program also has iRide Development Grants available to help school teachers and community leaders start their own extra-curricular program. To learn more about this opportunity, contact us or explorecyclingbc.net/iride-sprockids/.
